Oceania

MV Oceania is the newest dive liveaboard operating in the waters of Papua New Guinea.
Starting operations in mid-2019, MV Oceania is a 27 meter's catamaran accommodating up to 16 guests with itineraries including Kimbe Bay, Bismarck Sea, Rabaul and Milne Bay.

MV Oceania takes a maximum of 16 guests, with 8 cabins in total.

Guest cabins are a combination of twin share and queen bed rooms, all en-suite and above deck with an ocean view. Cabins and common areas inside are all individually air-conditioned, or guests can relax outside on the spacious sun deck for a leisurely surface interval.

The lounge and dining area is located on the middle deck. 

A spacious couch area is perfect for relaxing between dives and with multiple charging sockets installed along the footboard you can also kick back with one of your devices while it charges.

Mini fridges located in front of the galley have a selection of beverages for purchase along with complimentary juices and a refillable drinking water station. Complimentary tea and coffee is available all day.

Two long tables comfortably seat up to 16 guests for meals and snack.

On the upper level is a large open area for relaxing between dives, snacks and sundowners and watching the world go by while transiting between dives. 


The upper deck features tables and chairs in both the sun and the shade.

South Coast New Britain diving is a wonderland of rare and unusual critters. Most of the diving is on fringing reefs and lagoons.

Around the Lindenhaven area, the contours of the Solomon Trench (the third deepest part of the world's oceans) come in very close. Critters that are regularly seen on the Lindenhaven dives are mimic octopus, frogfish, over 47 different varieties of ghost pipefish, jaw fish, cuttlefish, arrow crabs, orangutan crabs, leaf scorpion fish, rock mover wrasse, anemone fish, holothurians, banded shrimp, lionfish, scorpionfish, crocodile fish, soft coral crabs, flying gurnards, nudibranch of every description, bubble shells, cowry shells, garden eels, flatworms, spanish dancer and much more.

New Hanover diving features coral gardens, bommies and wall dives in the passages. The channels are fantastic for drift diving, with large schools of fish, rays and shark patrolling the lush coral laden sides of the passages. Reefs in the New Hanover and Kavieng area feature a large and diverse variety of marine life, with a good mix of stunning underwater vistas to satisfy the wide angle photographer as well as lots of little critters, perfect for the macro enthusiast.
